Santa Clarita folks, need your help!

just got the oil in my car drained, filter is off, but Valencia Acura gave me the new smaller filter!!! anyone have the older larger filter I could buy, I will pay or replace the part for you...it's Sunday night and dealers are closed....

I'm sorry I can't help you out with a long filter.

I'm probably in the minority on this site, but I don't lose any sleep about using the short filter. Of course, I'm figuratively the little old lady who drives the car only to go to church on Sunday.

Acura does not make the long filter anymore. You may find someone who bought a bunch when they new they were not avalible anymore. I know I bought our remaining stock when I found out.

hello,

didn't know you where out in SC.

new short filters are just fine, haven't heard of any problems with them and eventurally we'll all have to switch over. The lucky few have horded some for personal use.

if they where replaceable I would definitely offer one of mine but cant get them any more. Mine are reserved for customer use only.

personally I use the purolator 1 filters on my own NSXs and have not had any problems with them. i only got a hand full of the long ones left and i know the customers want it more than I do.

Just use the short one. It'll be fine. If it'll make you feel better, change your oil sooner than you normally would and go pick up some of these for the next change:
