will this work with OTHER aftermarket intakes? For example, the COMPTECH high-flow airbox.

Yes. In fact, it is used with several aftermarket filters, including the GruppeM large capacity airflow kit (going in the ScienceofSpeed NSX).

I feel it is incorrect to state that it creates "a true ram-air induction system". A true ram-air system must scoop from the airstream. This device sits behind the OEM side vent which is recessed in, away from the primary air stream.

It should work, although it might involve modifying (and/or replacing) the bottom section of the CT 3-piece airbox.

I just installed the Cantrell Air Intake System with my Gruppe M special cleaner and it sounds and works great.
