CTSC Group Buy - Gathering Interest?

Hi all,

This is a feeler to see what level of interest there is for a new CTSC group buy. While I haven't spoken to Comptech or SOS, I think if we can post up enough interested parties, and be willing to put substantial deposits down to help their cash flow, we could arrange something at a nice discount to the list prices.

Timing: GB interest gathering period "ends" 1/15/09
Suggested deposit: Up to $2000, if necessary
Pricing: TBD based on interest level. I wouldn't expect "crazy" low prices though.
Other: Note if you would also want to purchase headers/exhaust/etc at the same time

Edit: I won't be managing the GB or any cash, but will help arrange pricing if needed.

there is a contact that is already less than that with shipping included and no group buy. still waiting towards the end of december to see if we can get it even lower with a group buy

Seems like there is some real interest. I should think that we could obtain better-than-NOPI prices simply by making larger deposits in advance. This allows CT the flexibility to negotiate better pricing from their vendors (which may be looking for business these days) while helping their own cash flow and risk. I doubt CT carries much inventory on these rarely purchased products. It's win-win if there's enough interest for sure.

yeah, I remember seeing that thread not to long ago.
I was just posting that NOPI info because the post above mine said he couldn't find it on their site.
