Parking an NSX at Casino Parking Lots - Should I worry?

Try and park near a surveillance camera and in plenty of light and pedestrian traffic and you should be ok 
when people arrive in groups danger may exist. there is usually one bad apple wanting to exhibit destructive behavior. best to park between two high profile cars to minimize door dings.

I find a nice end of row space that I can bias to one side a little and always put my cover on and have not had any problems. Out of site out of mind. :smile:
I pay extra to park it and take the keys with me ..... Never ever leave your keys ...Havent you seen the valet parking guys video ?
I re-read what I had written.. It wasn't clear, but thats what I meant. Ask them to let you vallet and keep your keys with you!
Glad to hear they did it for you! Did they allow you to do that at any specific ones.. or where you just saying in general?
I dont gamble and they dont let you take pictures in casino's so you probably wont catch me near one anytime soon :wink:
It would depend from the casino. I have been in Las Vegas only 2 times so far and once i stayed at Sahara, the second time at Mirage. Even that Sahara is an older and cheaper place it has a nice round parking for valet in front. I would definitley let them park my car there.

+1 this was discussed before. Whenever i go on bowling tournaments, i always park my car at the valet. In Vegas, these guys makes tons of money just to park a car. Like everyone says, there are security cameras around even at the valet parking. Their bosses are watching them too.
I would be a bit worried on the end of a row. Even though only one side risks door dents, the other side is open to out of control drivers hitting you, not to mention you're announcing that the car is in fact there; by exposing a whole side view to everyone (unless you use a generic cover that makes it look boxy).
I give the valet $20 and he directs me to park in a V.I.P area with no problem, works everytime. who said it wasnt expensive to own these cars,lol
+1 I know many valet parkers and tipping them prior to getting out the car is what will get you the perfect spot. I never park my car in a casino parking garage. I usually give the guy $20 or more to park my car up front and i let them take the keys. Its like a slap in the face when you dont trust your valet parker here in vegas. Asking them if you can keep the keys and not having money up front prior to parking your car will get you nowhere in this town. Money talks.....valet people here make over 100k a yr depending on the casino...

That also works if the valet is full and if you are not a guest, $20 will do the job to get you in.

This was the parking at the Stratosphere complex, not the best of places. We stayed there for 2 nights and didn't have any problems at all. As pingu81 suggested, I was parked with a camera facing both of my cars. I parked my civic next to stairs just in case some drunk came tumbling down the stairs. This was during the month November, not a crazy amount of people.
Yes I suppose it does. I've been here in LV for over thirty years; and worked in the casino industry for 18 years. I had several positions at the director level in my field during that time, and knew many hard-working well educated people in the gaming/hotel industry worthy of respect. That doesn't apply to valet attendants. The only valets I knew were doofs who paid for the job, or had some connections at the property; hardly something to aspire to. The fact that valet attendants can make $100k parking cars, when school teachers make $30k is just another thing that's wrong with the world in which we live.
Having said that, I never let valet parking attendants anywhere near any of my cars. Unfortunately there are also some valid concerns related to the theft of vehicles at LV resorts. If you're staying at a particular property, contact the hotel front office manager (or the casino shift manager if you are a player of any standing) and tell them your concerns about your rare/expensive automobile, and that you are not comfortable with valet attendants. They will probably work out a safe, secure alternative to valet parking for you.

I would say most valets don't make 100k but closer to 70k-75k. I would imagine a lot of them don't keep track of their cash enough to verify how much they make at the end of the year anyway. I knew the whole group of valets at the Orleans when my friend was the manager of the group. You can make a lot but there is some major variance from Casino to Casino. Plus, the problem with having that job honestly is if you screw up once they fire you and find someone else with a driver's license to replace you. It may pay well but there is very little job security as anyone can do your job besides elderly people who can't run.
