How does EBC yellow and red compare to each other?

I have the Reds on my NSX and they will be worn out sometime this summer.

I was wondering if I should stick with the Reds or try out the Yellows.

If you have experience with the yellows, preferably both, please chime in on the pros and cons.

I ran EBC yellows for one track day and they absolutely ate my rotors. And these where their "new" formulation. I have slotted Racing Brake rotors and they actually pushed the rotor material into the slots. I had to junk the rotors. I would NEVER use EBC yellows on any car again. I ended up pitching the pads.

Your story sounds like a typical one I hear from Hawk users.

For that reason, they are coming out with the Blue Stuff.

I guess I'll stick with the Reds.

I use the EBC Yellowstuff with cryo treated discs on my trackday MR2 Turbo running 300+ bhp and this setup has held up perfectly for more then 10 trackdays now.
On our Mazda MX-5 (Miata) MaX5-cup racecar all cars use yellowstuff in the front and redstuff on the rear (redstuff in the rear for better brake balance as yellowstuff in the rear brakes too much making the rear twitchy) with standard Mazda discs and this setup is perfect and extremely durable.

On my CTSC NSX I have Carbotech Panther Plus and even though these are perfect on the street, they cannot cope with a few fast laps on the track. Am planning to put in Yellowstuff with next pad change.

Did you experience anything that CL65 experienced with regards to rotor wear?

Nope, not on the cryo treated discs on the MR2 and neither with the OE Mazda discs on the race MX-5.

I have seen the Racing Brake rotors on MvM's car eaten up by his Hawk pads.

This should not happen with Yellowstuff pads for sure as the OE Mazda discs on our racecar hold up perfectly with Yellowstuff and Redstuff under full race circumstances.
Also like written, the Toyota MR2 Turbo is perfect with them too, however with cryo treated discs.

If RacingBrake discs are eaten up with Yellowstuff as also happend with Hawk pads, I am sorry to have to conclude that the RacingBrake discs seem to be soft inferior steel quality.
