I am going for Work Meister S1 3-Piece wheels size 18x8 front and probably 19x10.5 rear. Can anyone who have these wheels recommend me the offsets and disk type used for standard or non-widebody NSX? I have coilovers btw.

Thanks evo. That really helps a lot. Especially the disk type. My last Work wheels was both R disk front and rear. When lowered combined with the high offset the rear rubs against the coilovers.
I usually get these specs for standard/non-widebody NSX customers on the Meister S1s

18x8 +31 R Disk Front
19x10.5 +36 O Disk Rear

i'll post up some pics soon

If you want a super aggressive fitment, then use Evo's recommendation. Both of the fitments Evo suggested will put the wheel edge right at the fender, if not just a little bit past it. This is the way to go if you're going for looks

If you want something that's a little more drivable, that's less likely to rub, I'd do:
18x8 +38 R disk with a 215/35/18 tire
19x10.5 +40 O disk with a 275/30/19 tire or 285/30/19

Work wheels come in R disk (small lip, lots of brake clearance), A Disk (medium lip, medium brake clearance), and O Disk (large lip, small brake clearance).

Here's MikeC_587's car with his
18x8 +31 with a 225/35/18
19x10.5 +41 with a 275/35/18

Those wheels looks good. Thanks for the info Hapa.

synth,
how thick are stoptech calipers?

can you measure the distance from the rotor hat to the face of the caliper?

the the Meister's i got Striker are R disk in the front and we might test fit it on my car with Project Mu.
my calipers are about 50mm from rotor hat to the face of the calipers, so about 52mm spoke clearance on my Volk GTV which i have on now.

Jin,
did you have a high offset in the rear?
higher offsets will push the wheels inward and may rub on coilovers.
my rear wheels are 19x10.5 +36 and its close to the coils already.

I dont see a 18x8 Meister S1 3pc R disk with a +38.
only available in +43, +31, +18, and +5 :frown:
wish they had a +38 though...

The +36 offsets seems good from the photos. Mine was 18x10 with +59 offset R disk rear. Upon lowering the inside tire hit the coilover. Now if I am going 19x10.5 I want to make sure there is enough clearance.

Thanks evo for the reference photos.

If you get the Work SP 2 Piece you can have any offset you want custom made. That's because its a 2 piece welded design.

For the Work SP 3 Piece, yes as Evo stated, your options are +43, +31 for the NSX in R Disk. However there is an even Bigger Brake option, the "L Disk" and those have a +42 or +29 offset option.

Here is the Work SP 3 Piece catalog.

As for the rear, I would HIGHLY recommend going the 19x10 +29 O Disk instead of the 19x10.5. You'll get exactly the same lip size, but none of the tire stretch. The 275/30/19 tires will be a lot more stretched on the 19x10.5 wheel. Note the stretch on the rear tire on MikeC_587's car.

Finally the Front, there's a 18x7.5" +37 option that I would probably do.

So, in conclusion, for a slightly less aggressive fitment and possibly better drivability options I recommend:
18x7.5" +37 R Disk
19x10" +29 O Disk.

so will these clear the Stoptech BBK with R Disk Front & O Disk Rear ?

Work Meister 3p, 17" / 18" setup.

Hi guys.

Long time since this tread was active, but I'll give it a go.

Kind of lost in the big wheel jungle.
I'm about to buy a set of Work Meister 3p, but I was thinking about 17 in front and 18 rear, not the 18/19 setup.

Any suggestion of what size I shuld go for?

My 91' NSX is lowered with KW v3 coilovers. The ET is the most difficult thing because there are so many suggestions out there..
I'm a fan of a good low and wide stance, but also functional.

From before I drive 17x8 ET40 in front and 18x10 ET45 in the rear.

Btw, just forget it. S1 3p can't be delivered in 17"..
Will order a set of 18 and 19 instead :)

Well... Let's revive this thread... as I'm about to receive my 2000 NSX-T... It's time to think about the rims that I will put on it !!! And the obvious choice to me is... the Work Meister S1 3pcs

So, as I'm living in Belgium, I have no other choices than running these sizes of tyres :

215/35/18 in the front
255/30/19 in the rear

( and yes, I'm willing to go 18 front and 19 rear ) and only these sizes of tyres are street legal for the NSX here on a 18/19 combo ! So... The tyre sizes being known... My choice for the rims size is also limited...

and my final choice is :

8x18 ET35 in the front
9.5x19 ET23 in the rear

in these sizes, I will have different disk types between front and rear :

A disk type in the front
O disk type in the rear

so, my very last concern is about the brake caliper clearance... will the A and O disk types clear my OEM brake calipers ? ( and I'm going to stay OEM as it's forbidden the change the brakes here in Belgium... :frown: )

Well... any comments, experience and / or pics are welcome !!!

Thanks primers !!!

PS : I will go glossy black with gold nuts on a Spa Yellow NSX... Should look great...

Also wanted to get these. But on a widebody. Anyone have wheel specs on a widebody with front BBK?

So are 19x10.5 +36 O Disk Rear still the recommended rear size and offset for the S1s? I have read some people go +41 and have to use 5mm spacers.
