Specifically designed for the Acura NSX, this kit contains a CNC Billet RPS matched balanced pressure plate, segmented lightweight aluminum flywheel and a sprung hub full disk. This Lo-Inertia kit weighs in at a mere 24lbs (stock is 54lbs), and is SFI approved. The clutch, presure plate and disk are specifically engineered for higher torque capacity with only a small reduction and driveability. Note: From 98 to 05 require a shorter flywheel bolt that can be purchased at your local Acura dealer.

Traditional heat shields warp because of the uneven heat produced by a slipping clutch. Just like a car going around in a circle, the outside tires go faster than the inside tires, the clutch disc slides faster around the outside of the flywheel than it does around the inside. The faster moving outside surface gets hotter than the inside surface. Because metal expands more the hotter it gets, the outside of the heat shield expands more than the inside. Traditional heat shields are made of one piece metal rings, so when the outside expands more than the inside, the only thing the shield can do is warp. The CYN-R-G Segmented heat shields are not connected so they can expand and contract without warping. A warped heat shield causes the clutch to slip, which causes more heat and more warpage - what a vicious cycle! The RPS Flywheel @ 8lbs is 7.5lbs lighter than the 5 OEM speed fly and ~26lbs. lighter than the 6speed factory units - either way it allows way more HP to get through to the wheels!!
