Need Photoshop help with new logo design

I am designing a new logo for another car club I belong to. Although I have the Photoshop software installed on my Mac, I'll be damed if I can figure out how to use it.

I did a literal cut-and-paste of the two images I want to merge, basically replacing the car with the cat. One is of the panther and the other of the club abbreviation. This is for a local Pantera club called TPOC (Team Pantera Orange County). I attached the URLs of the panther and TPOC lettering images as I imagine they will be needed. Hopefully, this presents a fairly simple image overlay with minimal manual dodging.

Also, you will notice the TPOC logo is overlaid over the Detomaso logo colors. The Detomaso logo is this...

If these colors can be used that would be nice. Thanks in advance for anyone who can help!

One more favor NetViper... Can you adjust the color of blue to more closely match the Detomaso blue? It is quite a distinctive color and based upon the colors of Argentina's flag (pictured). Thanks!

I would certainly suggest a much better font than the original or the one i used. Plus don't you have any copyright issues using that cat?

That's great! Can you please make the following changes...

1. The panther's right rear foot needs to be resting upon something. How about adding some hash lines as pictured?

2. Color the panther in black and leave as white in a second version

3. Please change the color of blue to that as pictured in the other logo design. This blue is too pale and pastel.

1. Please adjust color of background blue to that of the Detomaso icon
2. Fill in (a) the small area in front of the right rear leg in the background blue and (b) fill in the small area just behind the left front paw in white
