my friend just got a 1988 supra and he claims to say stocked its faster than a 91' acura nsx is that true or not?? i kno this is off topic but i want to know alot of ppls opinions

I hate to say it but stock for stock yes an MKIV will pull a stock NSX. I have driven both and have my comparisons. I am reffering to a 91 to 2001 NSX.

Yeah a Mark 3 Supra is a real turd, and will not beat a NA1 5 speed NSX. Now if your comparing a USDM Mark IV Supra TT, then yes it is faster than any USDM NSX. The JDM Supra's are less powerful than the USDM ones so the Best Motoring Videos that you see are inaccurate of how fast they were.

A stock MK IV Supra TT can out gripe, out slalom, out brake, and out accelerate a NA2 6 speed NSX.

I'm going to go a head and call BS on this. That is not a stock NSX. It trapped 117 mph. That has some serious mods. Like super or turbocharged. Please make sure you know what you speak of before you speak.

A stock Viper from any year will beat an NSX from any year in a straight line, given equally skilled drivers.

I would consider it to be a driver's race with a 93+ Supra Turbo.

Those gen Supra's definitely weren't turds. This was the 1980s. There acceleration was in line with everyone else.

I'm skeptical of BMI videos, so I would view the results with a grain of salt. The NSX is known to be quicker all around than a 348 but the 355 is a faster car. Also the modifications of the NSX trapping 117mph is unknown, but the Viper posted about what it should have.

Tell me about it, I lost to a modded Ram 1500 at the drag strip because I messed up my launch (thinking it was an easy kill) and he got me by a few cars. I trapped higher than him and I was catching him but the race wasn't long enough.

Ehh 2nd Gen Vipers usually run mid-low 12's driven decently. One running a 12.9 is a below average time. Although the car is tricky to get off the line so newer drivers will run these sort of times.

The trailblazer ss had i/e and it was very cold out and i got 275īs. He beat me by a lenth + 2ft or so, aero and gearing wise a longer race would of helped in my case to
