Vegas Advice: Best pool on the Strip ?

Hi guys,
I'd like to visit this Summer and a big part of my trip will be sunbathing/swimming. What hotel in your opinion has the best pool area. I am looking for something somewhat peaceful. I DON"T want to be at a pool where there's a bunch of college kids getting rowdy. I also don't want a bunch of kids doing cannonballs 3 feet from my lounge (I guess I'm pretty picky). If I'm not mistaken Mandalay Bay is famous for it's pool right ? Thanks in advance for your replies...........

The pools I have been to:

Mandalay Bay: Always lots of people because it seems to be the most popular of all the pools, and it's that for a good reason (Beach, wave pool, lazy river I think too) And they have there whole concert series on the beach out there as well.

Monte Carlo: Crowed, many scattered little pools as well as wave pool and lazy river. Young crowd.

Golden Nugget: Cool new pool with a giant fish tank in the middle and a water slide going right through it. Big downside is that the space around the pool is SMALL and they have you packed in there like sardines..

4Seasons Hotel: This was one of my favorites. It has the feel of a very intimate hotel, but it's still a part of the Mandalay, the pool is more of a simple design and not nearly as loud and crowded. I would say the hotel is for the more mature.

The Golden Nugget pool is outstanding, with the huge shark tank, poolside table games, slide, etc.

Based on what the OP wants, I would suggest the pools at the Cosmopolitan. I was there just 3 weeks ago and the whole place is cool without being crazy. It has 3 separate distinct pools each with a different vibe and feel.

You DO realize you will be in Vegas right? Are you also looking for a hotel without any gambling either?

Good to know.. Going there this weekend..

Where would you guys suggest for like a bar/lounge hopping? We probably wouldn't go to big clubs like Tao or something, but we're more interested on walking around, go to a small lounge, grab a drink or two and dance a little (hip-hop, techno, what have you) , and move on to the next one.. Ofcourse, places with more eye candy to look at the better. LOL!

If you don't mind going off Strip, go to Town Square, south of the Strip, where you can go to the Blue Martini, then Yard House, then Cadillac Ranch, then Lolitas, among others, all within the square area of less than 1/2 of a football field.

Otherwise, if you stay on strip, every casino is going to have several bars, so just go to any one. However, I HIGHLY recommend you go to the chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan. It will be packed but you will thank me for it.

the chandelier bar at the Cosmopolitan.

+1 to the Chandelier at Cosmo

Wife and I have it on our short list for this weekend.

Take cabs and maximize your time, your feet will thank you later

Get there right when they open up and you can get some great seats, at about half the price. http://www.tix4tonight.com/shows-in-las-vegas.html I beleive they have a booth in front of M&M World.

townsquare has gone downhill lately.... I wouldnt go there

yo.. once I get the new rims in, lets go for a cruise!!

We stayed in a great room at the Golden Nuggett's new Rush Tower (the only negative was the late night loud music coming from Fremont Street). The Shark tank pool was really great, although the bottom level all ages pool was a little too crowded. The water slide that goes through the tank was surprisingly fast. We spent most of our time in the upper level 18 and over pool. It's not really big enough to go swimming, but rather it's a nice place to soak and cool off. We enjoyed the sight of several young women getting rowdy and removing their tops.
We visited several other hotels and checked out their pools. Luxor's pool looked REALLY nice. Mandalay Bay's isn't really a pool, but more like a water park. It seemed too crowded and didn't have a relaxing vibe to it (IMO).
I went to Treasure Island on Monday night and saw a red NSX in the parking structure. The license plate was FR*** ( To protect privacy, I'm not listing the last 3 letters)
I'm not into Celine Dion's music, but the show was good. The production (stage, lights, lasers) is spectacular. I think I saw a certain Prime member dancing and singing to every song..........

The 13' waterfall at the Flamingo pool is awesome. Stand under it and let it pummel you for maximum effect.
