.....Im mocking up the back plate right now...thinking about going with suede, instead of carbon fiber. What do you guys think?

I'd say do carbon fiber. It would go well with your already interior and alcantara would look kind of lame on a backplate for the speedo/gauge setup you're going with.

nice work... but one question though: If those circle thingies in the digital gauge are buttons, how will you press them once they are behind the OEM cluster lens?

You don't have to push them to change what the gauge reads. You can set it up where it rotates between whatever ones you choose.
