NSX on Carsales

The NSX that has been advertised on Carsales sounds like it ticks all of the right boxes - 3.2, 6-speed manual, 24,000 k's. The only problem, $142,990, unfortunately, just out of my price range!!! Nonetheless, odds are there wouldn't be too many others around like this?

In fact they sell more Ferrari's in Australia in one year than they sold NSX's - full stop. Add to that the T-top and the low kilometres and it makes it a pretty rare and desirable car. The above being said, you could buy a low kilometre (import) Ferrari 360 Spyder or a Lamborghini Gallardo (import) for the same price, so I don't like their chances, nonetheless, there is no harm in trying. I would suspect in reality it would be worth maybe $90,000 at best.[/FONT]

This car belongs to the dealer principal of Tynan Motors. It is a one owner vehicle. I had a look at it prior to buying mine back in 02/2011. At that time he did not want to sell it.

This is a 1998 NA2.

I was expecting the car to be a later year with the updated interior, seeing as it is advertised at well over $100k !!

The piccies are available of the Tynan Motors website.

Regardless of the interior, it seems to me to be way overpriced - I would say by at least $50k !!!

There doesn't seem to be a spare tyre in the front.

Would you feature a close up of a wheel in your advertising, when the wheel in question has a weight on the outside of the rim??

Also, while I am in critical mode, the pictures don't exactly make this car look as stunning as they ought to. Perhaps the lighting is just poor.

I'm guessing that the owner is wanting to sell now, before news of the NSX replacement is announced.......

Wasn't there a similar car for sale in Battery Point, Hobart last year for considerably less than this, albeit with a higher mileage?

I have hurd little news of the nsx replacement, i think i have found one article in a motor/ wheels mag probably 4 or 5 months ago that mentioned honda "might" be bringing out a replacement, and judging by the specs they wrote, its not going to be anywhere near as raw as our current set up, as in, it was going to be aspirated and possibly awd. Even if this was true i doubt we would actually see it, in the next few years.

Correct me if i am wrong though.

Oh I read all that but nobody tells the truth in their Profile! Well Mike maybe it's a manual now but wasn't it an auto when you won Targa Tasmania? Auto was quicker because you didn't have to put down your cigars to change gears?

The car was still there last weekend when I drove by. Yes it is the dealer principal's car. When I stopped to check it out a few years ago, the battery was out and there were spider webs in a few places. It has had less than perfect paint repairs over the years. So, yes, even though us owners like to see the value of our cars retained, I'd have to agree; it's at least $50k above the market. He obviously is not serious about selling it.
