Advan AVS Model 5's, where are you at?

Ooh I just found that u had 18x9 in the front!! Did u have to do anything to get then to fit? Roll fenders?

This was 2-3 years ago. I didn't mind it, but others aren't fans of the fitment (including the gentleman I sold the wheels to, who was told the specs 10x's over).
It's aggressive and my car is very low.

hey guys, so It's a 17x9 and 18x10, 215 & 265, might go with a 255 to get a little bit of a stretch for the rear. Really wish I could run a 225 up front.

I think it's the lack of sideskirts that give the rims the impression of 18/19 since front is aggressive and lower as well as the 02 valence, combined with me slightly tucking a stretched tire.

I came across a set of 4 17's in bronze on Kijiji. After doing some research into the offset I've decided they're too aggressive for me. They would be a good set for someone looking for a pair of front wheels.

I did not see the wheels, I'm too far away, but the seller confirmed yesterday that he still has them. You might even be able to strike a deal for less.

$899 Cdn - Bronze - 17" X 8" +30mm offset

I think you should consider a set of HRE wheels

but your car is nice as is :)

I've recently acquired a set of 17/18 ModelV offset et35 (front & rear). Can someone please confirm if the et35 front offset will clear Stoptechs???? Thanks!

PS. Synth19 your pm box is full.

the fronts should clear teh stop techs but with 215 tires has a chance to rub (and bend) your front fenders running a +35

MYW- thank you for the reply. My thoughts exactly, but wanted to ask the model5 gurus. Stoptech clearance is my primary concern. My inner fender liners have long been removed to avoid the rubbing issue.

UPDATE: Test fit today confirms that front offset +35 will NOT clear Stoptechs. Going to have to run 3 or 5mm spacers.

17x8 +30 with 215/40 rubbed on the front of mine and I am lowered on H&R's. I had to cut and tuck my fender liners behind the fender tabs and roll the fenders because I had an incident when turning sharp and going slowly over a bump. The fenders are no longer 100 percent but such is life.

Front is lower because the driver's side wheel was in a dip. I might go TEIN flex with a front cup kit next year.

I have since rolled the passenger side fender after these photos

say it ain't so... if it's a matter of storage room, ship the set out to me and I'll store them until you decide you want the Model 5's back

I miss my 17/18 set and am considering selling or trading my 18/19's. Anyone interested? I am at 18×8 +38 in front & 19×10 +45 in rear. This is by far the best, rare, and most ideal sizes/offsets for the NSX. They also have a fresh coat of "hyperblack" powdercoat which is a combo of silver/gunmetal look (More pics on my blog www.synth19.com). Tires are practically brand new, Falken 253’s 215/35/18 & 275/30/19. If you have a set of 17/18 model 5's you want to trade (+cash on top), let me know. FYI, I'm only considering 17x8 and 18x10.

...dibs!
very interested, but your inbox is full
Let's chat

Wow! Your NSX and wheel combination looks amazing!!!! More pics please.

^^^ Looking good, guys!

I finally got a chance to get a photo of our two cars with their 17/18" sets of Advan 5's together.

<a href="https://picasaweb.google.com/lh/photo/Gm66IkZBP_x5RNjjmNxJ_0wcJm6m9Pp_utaX2y1vecI?feat=embedwebsite"><img src="https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-HNaIZCjmtDk/VFeJLJ-_FUI/AAAAAAAAAO8/1L7IKDRFhaI/s800/IMG_1872.jpg" height="600" width="800" /></a>

Thanks again to Chris and Stephen for helping me acquire 8 wheels that would work on our 2 vastly different NSX's.

Brian
