Hi guys,
We seem to be getting a few more new Melbourne NSX owners and i thought i would start a specific thread for Melbourne guys to organise nsx meets, track days and general nsx discussions.
I've owned my NSX for 4 years and have been collecting parts for alot of that time and now its finally all getting put together.
It should be on be back on the road in a couple of months and i will be available for meets after that.
It would be great if you Melbourne NSX owners could write a short bio on your cars and mods.
Cheers
Ben

Thanks NSX SA.
This is more aimed at new owners and active older members in Melbourne.
Most older members are inactive on this site and for a new members joining this site they would think its pretty quiet.
So i'm trying to get some interest going in the Melbourne NSX scene.

Now that I actually have her (NSX) in my possession, here's some info about her. I've taken the template from the other thread as suggested:

City: Melbourne
MY (model year): 1993

odo: 76000
Colour: White with Black Roof
Main mods (in brief): Enkei GTC-01 Wheels

Hi Ben,

My car is a 93 build that was first registered in 94, it has now traveled 81,000km/s. Modifications include Japanese RS-R Quad Exhaust, Tein Suspension, K&N Filter and Volk TE37 - 17" & 18".

I am certainly looking forward to seeing your car once it's finished. From what I read it is going to be a little bit quicker than the average NSX!!!

All the best,

David

Good to hear that the Vic scene is getting a bit of a kick start.

I'm looking forward to driving it myself,
It's coming along slowly, I've got my friends mechanic who works on his sports sedan doing the installation and his time is limited, so it will take a couple of months to fit everything.
She will be a quick car and i've got the option of 580 HP if i want but i will start off at round 430 RWHP and see how it goes. I'm trying to get a balance of reliability and power.
Your welcome to come check it out once its completed.

Ben

Thanks mate.

Going ok, taken her out a couple of times......gave her a good wash/polish last weekend.

Getting RWC tomorrow in prep for transfer to Vic.

Very happy, can't believe I've got a NSX sitting in the garage. I'VE GOT A NSX!!!!!!!!!!! Gotta pinch myself sometimes.

Spending a bit recently to get her up to speed in terms of maintenance, eg. timing belt, water pump. Will be good money spent though, she'll last for a few more years.

Hope to be able to see your weapon one day too!

Ben,

I can also see why you're broke, whatever you do don't add it all up!!! I can't wait too see the finished product, it sounds sensational.

All the best,

David

I felt the same way when i bought my nsx and it still hasnt really worn off.
I know they are not as hi tech as todays super cars but i love it and will never sell it.
I feel like its my child.
No car has ever done that to me before.
You will see it and maybe get a drive of it after i've racked up a few km's.

your car finished yet?
Yeah its finished.
Its running really well.
It has great acceleration with over 250kw on the rear wheels and has a factory feel to it.
It also handles really well with the nsxr sway bar on the front and Zanardi rear sway bar.
I also put a set of stoptech BBK on it which are fantastic.
Only thing i've got to do is fit a new SRS reel unit so i can get back my horn and cruise control.
The original had a kink in it and gave up the ghost a month ago.

How is your car going with your new exhaust?

Oh fantastic, glad to hear you like the stoptech's, I may be purchasing a 2nd hand set from the states this week!.
The taitec extractors and exhaust are amazing, it sounds amazing, rev's more freely, and gets plenty of top comments, best, most expensive exhaust I have ever bought haha.

glad to hear your car is going well, would love to catch up some time :)
