    Smile Blitz 03 funny instructions

I couldn't resist buying these wheels as I've always liked them. The instructions are great and I thought I would share.

Does anyone know the translation for number 8?

I love them too,I still have my set,but they are very sensative to harsh cleaners so my anodized finish has dulled/turned colors

Doc, you should see if the wheel place in Bath PA can strip and re-clear the lips. It might be worth a shot. The lips on these aren't discolored but the one has been curbed pretty good. I needed something reasonably priced that would fit over my brakes. Now, hopefully I can get out to a few track events without using the pimp my ride HREs. Someday I'll pick something up lighter.

    17/17?
17" 18" picked them up in your neck of the woods on Sunday.

    Always loved that wheel.

    How to attach and use:

    8. Verify after the installation (Warning)

When you install (I assume a tire?), please make sure that it is not touching the car body, suspension, etc. (Turn your steering for the front wheels.)

Cars with tire wheels that are sticking out are prohibited by law. (This might be true only in Japan…)

    Verify all twice.

I always had a soft spot for those. One of the best looking wheels ever!

Someone shoud pick up the design since they are long discontinued from Blitz.

The lips are anodized, so any repair involves losing that finish, which holds the polish and gives a certain look to the wheel.

What I have done to repair these is have the lip machined only far enough to get rid of the curb marks, then polished - if done correctly it is almost seamless and you retain the anodizing on most of the lip - you'll end up with only a very small part that needs to be periodically re-polished.

As far as the discolored/faded lips, you will have to have them stripped (requires disassembly of the wheel) and them polished and/or cleared - I have had mixed results clearing polished wheels, you always lose some shine and they invariably peel sooner or later...

This line of Blitz wheels are still one of my all time faves, I love the technospeed Z1 - I have 3 sets!

They are made by enkei BTW.
