Smilies and icons all messed up on ipad (safari browser)

It's been two days now on various computers, when I try to reply to a post there are smilies on top of my reply window in the bar next to the bold and italic and underline icons... On the right where smilies normally lie, are the icons that used to be on top... And then when you post strange things show up. Am I they only one experiencing this?

Yup. Try using Chrome.

Weird, it's fine now. Tried rebooting last night and it was the same. Also same on my iPhone. Seems fine suddenly. Well thanks for the help.

It's back again. Look where the u is in the midst of smilies and where the thumbs up is. Strange thing is even when looking at posts with smilies I see bizzare things like the underline "u" or the quote wrap symbol instead of a smilie.

Weird. I'm curious if you are somehow getting an incorrect URL, or if your system is somehow displaying the wrong graphic despite getting the correct URL (maybe a cache issue?)

Look at the image properties for one of the incorrect graphics and paste the full URL here.

For example, the correct big grin URL is

Try going to Starbucks, or using the 3G service of your cellular provider rather than your home wifi, and see if that makes the problem go away.

It's not doing it on my phone now. I tried rebooting, no help. I also can't get the link to the icon like you suggested Lud, not on the iPad.

Fwfw, on my ipad i get HIJACKER's avitar included in the post whenever someone quotes a post... (kinda ironic i guess)

Yes, I am getting pics for smilies. This black nsx is one I constantly get instead of the cool smile. Even mid posts.

It's not a caching issue. Refreshing the page and deleting cookies does not always help. I've refreshed this current reply page 5 times and still have smilies in the wrong places.

Can you try this?

Tapping Settings > Safari > Advanced/Websites and deleting the specific website temporarily seem to fix the issue.

Seems to have temporarily fixed mine too. This is a very recent issue. I have surfed prime from an iPad for months and not had this. Anyway thanks. Hope it lasts!
