Guy I work with has a black RSX-S with the type R kit. Anyway he has a Carbon Fiber hood. He was asking me if I knew if they made smoked vinyl because he wants the hood to look more black until you get right up on it. I assume it would think it would have a simialar to look to JetzRacing smoked CF. He said a local shop said they didn't make such a thing, but to me that doesn't seem right. Does it exist. I sure thought it did...wouldn't it be the same stuff that some ricers tint their tail lights and headlights with?

This is the kind of film used for headlights and taillights.
When I tint headlights or taillights, i do it the right way and not with that niteshades crap, which would be the best way to achieve the look the guy is going for. PM me and Ill fill you in. I make some decent side money doing lights, so I dont post up my method online.

Talk to BlueBatmobile. He makes smoked tint overlays for tail lights. Could probably use the same material to do hood coverings if they make it wide enough.

Plasti-Dip makes a smoke color that can be used for tinting lights so why not a hood.
