Just a side note, but when I rebuilt my brake master cylinder in my MR2, the manual called for a lithium soap-based glycol grease, which is a thick, pink-colored grease that Toyota recommends for rubber parts that are in contact with brake fluid. The p/n is 08887-01206 and it's pretty inexpensive. If you're striking out on grease that's what I would use.

Re: ABS/ALB modulator hose assemblies

Gentlemen,
While you're at it, why not replace those two basic brake fluid hoses on the modulator with something that not only looks good but outperforms the stock hoses it came with. I've upgrade my ABS unit with Science of Speeds setup before the price went out the roof and I pulled my old unit out which now is of no use to me. I also modified the original hoses with those in the picture and no longer need them. They are in like new condition and should last the life of the modulator unit. I've invested over $150 in parts plus labor for these. Two of the fittings from the reservoir to the pump side are extremely hard to find and very expensive. I'm asking $100 for both hoses plus shipping in the USA. Let me know if any of you are interested. Please see attachment for picture,

Al T.

P.S. Both hoses are rebuildable if that should ever be needed. All parts to build these came from Earl's except for two fittings.

In as well. This amazing knowledge and helpfulness is why Prime is one of the best car communities out there.

UPDATE:

I have ordered o-rings from Daemar and Grease all the way from Castrol specialty oils UK. (was not cheap!) I may have to raise the price to $55.00 plus shipping.

Once I have everything, I can start packaging and shipping.
