Haha don't get how that's snob appeal. That's probably how a lot of people feel.
its like the e34 m5 vs new models. it is definitely seen as being more special because its their last handmade m model. no different than what im saying. a hand assembled car is just viewed as a different kind of greatness in the automotive enthusiast world. sorry if ya dont agree.

i see what youre saying. but for that kind of money id want a specific engine for that exotic. not one from a sedan in the line up.
    Let me clarify.

Being handmade does not increase any measurable attribute to the car. So why would anyone want to have their car handmade? So they can point at other cars that aren't and feel superior. IE a snob.

I think what you are missing is just what a gem the 4.2 FSI in those audis is. Sure, they could have made a different engine, but it probably would have been worse and added to the cost of the car.

Have you driven both? The v10 sh*ts on the v8 in every way IMHO.

That was their other engine they "could" have made. And did and it's just awesome.

I didn't say the V10 wasn't awesome, because it is. From what I have read, I just know that some people prefer the V8 as a driver's car. I believe that is saying a lot considering the significant decrease in power.

No. It was unusual to see more than one or occasionally two NSX's at a single dealership.
    NSX. Spread the word.

Since the V10 is based on the V8 4.2FSI motor I would agree.

Major problem with these motors is the carbon build-up that eventually robs owners of super car performance.
