The July 2012 issue of Hemmings S & E has a cover feature on affordable mid-engine cars. The NSX made the list, and I found the comparative comments humorous. See below....




BTW: the other vehicles on the list included the Pantera, BMW Isetta, Boxster/914, 308/328/348, Fiat X1/9, Lancia Scorpion, Lambo's Urraco & Jalpa, Maserati Merak, Lotus Europa/Esprit/Elise.
