Need pics & best mounting location for custom Inter-cooler water reservoir tanks

Hey guys starting my turbo build looking for suggestions where to mount the water reservoir tank also how many gallons recommended if I plan on running 800 rwhp I will be using Lovefab XL water to air intercooler along with a 55gal per min. pump etc.

Looking for any pics of custom set-ups using a 2 gal water tank or bigger

I would focus more on an appropriately sized heat exchanger unless you plan on using ice or something for a drag setup. As far as the reservoir you might end up mounting that where the spare tire is/was. Showing a picture below of science of speeds relatively small reservoir, but there is where you might want to put it.

I've had it located where my spare tire went and in the trunk.

Yea I went with Mustang GT 500 Heat exchanger with twin built-in fans this was the biggest I could find .It looks like I will be putting a 4 gallon Ice box reservoir in the trunk as well .Thanks Guys

What's the advantage of adding one of these to an air/air or air/water setup?

My trunk get's super hot since my turbo is right underneath and I'm guessing this wouldn't be ideal for me but if you're turbo's are located somewhere else then it would be?

Does it matter if the water gets super hot? And what do you do on long drives if you put ice in there and it melts and you use it as a primary source of cooling?

The advantage is to get keep your air intake temperatures down when running high boost. The trunk is the only place to put a reservoir this big it will be on the opposite side of the turbo where its not so hot also the ice will only be for the track on daily driving it will be water/coolant & no its not good if the water gets very hot.

I built a custom tank and mounted it in the trunk to keep it away from the heat of the radiator. It holds about 2 gallons and has a large filler opening for the addition of ice for added cooling during dyno tuning or drag racing. The tank could be a lot smaller for normal street driving.
