any more info on this ?

Anyone interested in doing this?? Chris? Aaron? Mitch ??
Do we need to setup as a "marque club", or do we just show up and join one of the run groups ??

I'll cross post this onto the "Regional - Midwest" events list too.

    ###############

From Indy Audi club site ( http://www.indyaudi.com/events_f1.htm )

    Format and Time:
Car clubs will begin lining up at Gate 10 (off 30th street) for a start time of 10:30am. Ferrari, BMW, Porsche and Vipers will be the first car clubs to go on the track. 11:30 will be the start time for Jags, Audi's, Corvettes, Mustangs, and T-Birds.

    Display/Parking:
Car Clubs will be asked to display their cars in the highly visible garage alley between Legends Row and Gasoline Alley Suites. The Brickyard plaza will also be available for overflow if necessary. Your cars are the show, and many of the general public will look forward to talking with you about your cars.

    Activities:
Car Clubs activities will be from 12:00 - 3:00pm, which will include a $12.00 lunch buffet served to them in the Formula One Suites (Gasoline Alley Suites) while the live broadcast Air Canada Montreal Grand Prix Race will be shown on the closed circuit televisions in the suites, as well as the big screens around the track. A tour will be available thru the 2nd floor (timing and scoring) of the pagoda and then into the new media center. There will also be a display of 10 - 12 exotic cars from Ooley and Blackburn on the plaza. Merchandise will also be available for sale on the day of the event. Concession stands will also be available for those who will not be participating in the lunch buffet.

    Photo Opportunities:
There will be a unique opportunity for a photograph on the victory podium with the grand prix girls as well as the photo of your car driving around the Formula One circuit. Both photos will be available for purchase on site. There will also be an F-1 car on display for your own personal photo opportunities.

    Yes and Yes.
The event is open to folks who have bought 4 or more tickets to the F1 race in September. You can buy your tix (to qualify) as late as day-of-event (June 15).

Track drives are open to all participants... they'll stage the "car clubs" first, then do the others (non-club folks) later.

There is still room /time to signup additional clubs -- contact is Beth Boles at 317-769-7421. They do not require much in terms of "minimum size" -- the Indy Audi folks had about 12 cars last year and it was a lot of fun.

    ###############

So I guess it comes down to:
    - are folks attending ??
    - any folks interested in setting up an "NSX club" run group -- ideally if we can get 12-15 cars (plus maybe a few S2000 ?) ??

I'll work with Beth and her folks if there's enough interest in this...
