Just saw a Range Rover projecting its own logo down onto the pavement from the rear bumper...

Please tell me this isn't going to become a thing...

where they dealer plates?

He needs to aim it sideways so it projects on all the walls he drives by. That would be cool!

Doesn't Ford do something like this with the Mustang? I think I remember hearing something about the mirrors projecting an image down to the ground.

Sadly, this is becoming the "in" thing. I believe it is known as a "tramp stamp". It is picking up momentum in other platforms. I simply hope it doesn't metastasize to the NSX's.

I didn't see... it could have been. The car looked pretty loaded, video screens in all the headrests etc so maybe it was a dealer demo car driving around to show off to all the costumed freaks.

Wouldn't this be illegal in any place that disallows other underbody/decorative car lighting? I know at least in CA "underglow" has long since been banned, and I wonder if this would qualify...

You might be able to "clean up" your photo to reduce the reflection off the plate so we might be able to read it if you feel up to it.

Wow maybe on a civic beater LOL

if I ever put that on my NSX I would kill myself

I don't think this would work on an NSX. Too low, unless you had some crazy short-throw lens you'd end up with a very small projection.
