iphone 6 was launched today.

What done everyone think? I have a GS4 but am thinking of going back to the iphone. I am having some minor issues plus it doesn't stream music in my Equus or McLaren(I know first world problems).

Looks pretty nice. Not a huge reason to upgrade unless you just want a bigger screen. (which is a pretty good reason)

i am going iphone6 64. the 6 plus to me seems like that huge galaxy and just to big for me to use as a phone.

6+, giant nav screen!

I wish the iPhone was not getting bigger. I guess the 4.7 inch is the most acceptable option but it is getting to the point where the iPhones are just as unwieldy as the Android phones that I was trying to avoid.

When I made the transition to smart phones from Blackberry I like the iPhone build quality and the smooth screen.

But it's small screen and crap GPS (Google employees 7000 people to manage their GPS, Earth, etc.) turned me off.

Also, I prefer the out of the box Google eco system since I use Gmail and the calender feature heavily.

And finally iTunes was a joke compared to streaming music.

iPhone 6 solves the size issue, but the rest of my issues remains to be discovered.

I'm very happy with my HTC One M8. Had SameSung 2,3,4 and was just done with it. It was boring and sucked battery life.

I'm leaning towards the iPhone 6+, like Aaron mentioned, giant GPS Nav screen for the car!

I love how the mid-capacity iPhone is now 64GB, and the top one is 128GB.
Apple Pay looks very useful, I like the security/privacy features in it.
1080p 240 fps video recording
I was expecting f/1.8 lens, but f/2.2 is close enough.
Burst selfies I can see being huge with Instagram and the like.

Can't wait till next Friday!

IMO, HTC One M8 is the sexiest Android phone out there. It would be my pick if I were to go Android.

GPS on iOS is not perfect, and has definitely improved since introduction.

iTunes, well before, you couldn't make a comparison with streaming music, just two different services. Now Apple has iTunes Radio, which is their streaming service and it's free too. Between iTunes Radio, Pandora, and SiriusXM, I have all the music I'll ever need. I have Sirius ONLY for Ch 51 & 52 , BPM and Electric Area. I also download podcasts of my favorite DJ's radio shows thru iTunes.

Hopefully they improved the microphone. I can tell immediately when I get a call from an iPhone user. It's highly distorted, with no dynamic range. The Apple ecosystem is like a mini socialist republic. if you're already one of their citizens it appears that you'll be getting a pretty nice phone. The watch is pretty cool but can you imagine all of the traffic fatalities it will be responsible for?

You know what I can't tell if the microphone on the iPhone is bad or if it was the AT&T service from my friends that I speak to. For some reason, even today all of my iPhone friends are on an AT&T contract.

After the traffic fatalities with the watch use, will there be laws in response to looking at ur watch in the car moving forward?

Ive been debating on the iphone 6 plus now and the galaxy note 4/edge. I switched from iphone to galaxy note 1 and 2. Waited after the 3 to see whats new. The 6 plus has me re-thinking. Depending on release dates, it may play a factor but I have waited this long. 6 plus is looking at a Dec to early 2015 release. Reviews from the Iphone 6 4inch display may help if kosher and note 4 sometime after Sept 25 to early October depending on carrier.

I like the aluminum construction and seemless design of the iphone 6plus. Love the note series phones but im tired with all my Notes battery issues. I like androids drag and drop rather than having to have an itunes account etc. Pros and cons. Anyone else debating between the two?

What are you smoking? Both iPhone 6 and 6 Plus are being released Sep 19th, and will be available for preorder this Friday Sep 12. Did you even watch the keynote? Where are you getting your "news/facts" ?

As for drag and drop, yes, you need iTunes to sync music, podcasts, etc, with the iPhone, BUT, you DON'T need an iTunes account to use it. You can still get your music from Amazon, Google Play, Torrents, import it to iTunes and still play them on the iPhone, so long as they don't have DRM and it's a compatible format.

I think it's not the microphone. If you try talking to someone over Facetime Audio (basically voip), the sound is amazingly high fidelity. You can hear teeth against lips actually, with a bit too much detail.

couldn't agree more. you might as well walk around with a tablet at this point. like you ill give the 4.7 a try. the 6+ is just ridiculous looking to me.

im really not impressed with the 6 either. i have a 5s and its not much different from the 6. seems like the innovation died with steve jobs.

People expect to be blown away every year by Apple. Something truly innovative only comes around every so many years. Even then, still some differences there that would make me want to upgrade. Faster processor, bigger screen, NFC, better camera, 240fps 1080p video recording, optical image stabilization (with the Plus), the entry phones remain the same with 16gb, but the other two phones get double the capacity, 64gb and 128gb, for the same price (for the 6) as the outgoing 5S.

What were you expecting? What did you want that would impress you?

im not looking to be blown away at all. they have this big keynote presentation etc just for it to be a slightly upgraded version of the current phone. its all about marketing so i guess i can see why they do the extra red carpet stuff.

Could partly be the reason, but Apple has been having keynotes for years now, so it's their thing. Others have done the same for a while now. Remember Microsoft/Steve Ballmer's "Developers! Developers! Developers! Developers!" ??
Samsung has been doing the same thing too, or at least trying, with their product announcement, although rather very lackluster in comparison. They also have slight spec bumps with their lineup.

Now today's T-Mobile's Uncarrier 7.0 announcement was something to be excited about!

I think the only thing on that list that MOST people will care about is the screen size.

I just read Verizon will give you an iPhone 6 for free of you trade in an old iPhone including the 4 if you sign for another 2 year contract. Pretty sweet.

Also both walmart and SAMs are selling the phones for less than $199.

As far as I recall those type of offers have never existed before at an apple product launch.
