Removing the center bar on 91/01 front lower bumper.

Has anyone done this with decent results. Does it compromise the structure of the lower bumper? I'm looking to purchase a new one and considering giving it a cleaner look before paint.
Pics would be most excellent. Thanks.

I just wrapped black vinyl around mine...cleaned up the look a lot. Not sure about removing/possible sagging.

That's my previous setup. I opted for the Mode4 bumper that is available without the center bar.

No bar anymore. No problem since I removed it. I drove hard in the mountain and reach speed limit in Deutschland last summer. Bumper didn t move.

That's does look good. the fact that my car is black, it will still be fairly un-noticeable.
