NSXPO 2015 - Palm Springs, CA - Oct 9 - 13 2015

......might have to bring the clubs.....

Since we already know that the dates will be October 9-13, would you happen to know yet which days will be the track event, and which days will be the social event?

Oh yesssss!!!!

 Hmmmmm..... might have to tip over a bank or two for the financing of this trip. docjohn will you cover my greens fees?
Please?

better yet I'll drive the getaway car.....

That's about the only legal thing you can bring into the great socialist republic of California. All of our cars are technically illegal and don't ever get me started on their unconstitutional Hitleresque gun control laws. I'll be calling Palm Springs PD in the near future to find out the logistics of perhaps sending weapons to a local FFL/Shooting range in advance of NSXPO as California does not honor any other State's CCW. Hopefully in the very near future there will be Federally mandated reciprocity law that would trump any State's or local government's law. It would be long overdue for a Bill such as H.R. 2959 to get signed into law!

Absolutely #fail . Your're planning an event when it's still going to be quite warm in PS and might actually be in the high 90's to low 100's at CVR. I know this since 1. I live 45 min from PS and 2. I'm a member at CVR. Furthermore, you hold an event when at least 3 NSX owners will be competing for points in a NASA event in AZ. Really?

Though the last two NSXPOs were awesome in spite of the weather, it will be nice to go to one where the chance of rain is minimal. The bar was set pretty high by this last NSXPO. But, I'm confident the Southwest Region will work very hard to clear the bar. (There are a bunch of jokes for that last line that I'll leave open for the peanut gallery.) I'm already looking forward to next year.

Yes, really.

I missed NSXPO 2014 breaking my streak of 13 consecutive NSXPOs dating back to 2001 because I was getting married in NY at the same time as this year's NSXPO. I have been a Board member since 2004 and many of my guests were regular attendees at prior NSXPOs and also could not come this year because of my wedding.

However, the involvement of Acura/Honda with the factory visit, TRC, test track, P.D. Cunningham, etc. all resulted in the only possible available week being the one I chose for my wedding. And I was involved in the planning of NSXPO 2014 and still could not make it work.

NSXPO is scheduled for the benefit of the entire membership and not everyone will be able to attend because of personal schedules, whether a wedding or a NASA race. The event is about the overall Club membership and is above any one or few individuals - even me. :frown:

Yes. Instead of being with the NSX fanboys I'll be showing Porsches, Corvettes, BMWs and GTR's why they they should have bought an NSX. Supporting the community, but in my own way.

Actually there's nothing California can do about cars with out of state plates that are visiting that don't meet their emission laws including the must have front plate law.
I travel to California regularly and have never been hassled since my car is legal where it's titled and registered.

All of our cars are technically illegal

Easy Nick....lets see what days the track event will be first. You never know, we just might be able to make it for at least one day if nothing else.
Because of the scheduling conflict for us, I'm as frustrated about the dates as much as you are and the possibility of not being able to attend since it's so close to home, but I'd still be happy to attend for at least 1 day if possible to hang out on track with everyone. 1 day would still be better than 0 days ;-)

I didn't realize we needed to bring weapons to this event??? Am I missing something:confused:

NSXPO planning is a delicate balance of many variables including the Columbus Day holiday, venue and track availability, snow and weather affecting drivers coming from the East, etc. That being said, please be patient until final details are released - we are still very early in the process.

Regarding weather, the historic average for this October weekend in Palm Springs is 93-94 degrees F high and 63-64 degrees F low, with light winds, near 0% precipitation, and a very low and comfortable desert humidity. The average temperatures at the track are couple degrees cooler.

I'm lucky enough to be living about 60 miles southwest of PS and can confirm the weather here today is about 88... It is usually about ten degrees hotter out there then here and it's been a very long summer this year, today is supposed to be 97 in PS... It will be sunny and hot, but what else could you ask for?!!! Nsxpo in So Cal!!!! Great pool weather for the family plenty of night life( Vegas style casinos, nice restaurants and bars)

Can't wait!!!!!

Yikes, Not this again....................................... the negativity has got to stop guys... The event planners are doing it for free.

Having been thru the event planning process before i'm sure these guys are smart enough to consider all possible options and making a decision for the majority, not the minority. Support their efforts even if it doesn't benefit you. Not the other way around.

+++++++++a bazillion.....

Unsubscribed. All, please have a great NSXPO. Palm Springs and CVR are really awesome.
