The time has come to sell Yellowhaze. Purchased in 2008 with 97K miles I have thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving this awesome NSX. I have driven a few NSXs including supercharged ones but none have felt as good as this one. The suspension set-up, combination of Comptech headers and exhaust, wheels/tires and perhaps something else combine to create a blissful driving experience.
As the photos show, this NSX has led a pampered life. If your looking for an NSX with tasteful mods (some expensive and hard to find) and a detailed engine bay, this may be your car. While not a show car I have enjoyed taking this NSX to many local car shows. It never ceases to attract crowds and get its share of compliments, including my own!
I have all records and receipts of preventative maintenance and work performed since my purchase plus records from prior owner. Upon purchase, all fluids were changed with work performed by Cerritos Acura under the direction of John Martin, service manager and NSX tech. This NSX runs great and pulls strong with an amazing exhaust note.
Maintenance and Repair Info
Paint and body: Car was originally black. Repainted in 2004 by Wet Works Garage, Costa Mesa. Engine bay left black with a Type R look to showcase the detailed engine bay. No dents or scratches. Paint is a 8/10 due to some rock chips on the front. The only minor damage is on the front lip, which has some small cracks and typical rock chips. There are rock chips across the front of the car. Even so,the paint looks great overall with a deep wet look thanks to maintaining 5 coats of Zaino polymer “wax” applied all the time.
Issues: The car experiences a slight intermittent surging typically after it has warmed-up. Although recently serviced, the ABS system will once in a while run for 3-5 seconds and then stop, typically upon initial start-up. This is due to the ABS pistons tending to get stuck so this is the system's way of unsticking them, common to early model NSXs. There are no leaks of any kind. That’s about it.
