Hugo's Summer Window Fix Tour - Houston, Texas

All,

We all know our cars have seriously slow windows. Well one of our fellow primers, Hugabuga - Hugo, has produced a fix for this issue. If you haven't heard of the fix check out the link below with all the details.

Window upgrade kits are $200 (fixes both windows)
Window upgrade kits + install are $400 (fixes both windows)

August 15 is the scheduled meet. We will determine place based on our final numbers.

Also, since we are going to have the driver door opened up for this work this would be a good time to do the "auto-up" window mod. Takes all of 2 min if you have the door off already.

HDA is in, definitely in.

Just remember, it's $200 if you have the kit and $400 if you do not. That price is for both doors/windows.

Hi RJ
By 3 cars I meant just 3 installs, with or without a kit ( bought it in the past but never installed...)
Confusion is probably because the price for the installation is the same as the price of the kit, that is 200$
so to answer your question:
Kit + install = 400$
kit alone = 200$
install alone ( if one already has the kit) = 200$

In his video he has a 13 years old installing it so I guess it is very easy to do it...

I believe for the long run it would be smart to do both sides. It's a cheap investment since Hugo rare gets this way.

Alright guys...I got an update from HUGO saying he is coming to Houston! The dates have changed but are now locked into August 15-16. Based on our final numbers we will determine a meet place. Again, if you Austin/San Antonio/Dallas guys are in need...join in. So as of now we have:

Im in. My drivers window works fine, but my passenger window stopped working entirely. Hopefully, Hugo is able to repair it.

Not yet. I will check with Hugo on what time he wants to start the work. As far a location, if you have a centrally located option you want to throw out, please. do. We can probably nail this down since it looks like our number of people is set at 7 cars.

I just bought my car 3 years ago and the windows work with no issue that I can see. I'm just thinking this is an improvement over the OEM setup, and I plan on keeping the car a while. Plus a chance to get his done by someone that knows what they are doing.

There is a 90s supercar car meet and BBQ going on the same day at bear creek park. Who would be interested in attending since we will have a large group of us? We need to come out in numbers! I'll start a different thread for it.

Talked to Carl, local NSX guru, and he confirmed that the owner, Mark, and himself will open up the garage for our exclusive use on August 15th. So, if you haven't met these guys then this is a perfect opportunity to meet them as they do a lot of NSX work already. See photo below on my last visit.

I have confirmed with Hugo and the shop that we will begin at 0800.
