where are my Cleveland NSX guys at????

I just purchased Bilstein shocks for my "new to me" NSX. Any shop in NE Ohio you guys recommend for this install when I have it done in the spring? I've thought about tackling it myself but a) have never worked on suspension before (though I can probably figure it out) and b) time is always limited because of work. I may just have the NSX specialist at Motorcars do it, but if I can avoid the "dealer tax", that's OK, too.

As an aside, my mod list is going to be very short:

SSR Integral GT1 wheels in NSX 17/18 fitment (received)
Above mentioned Bilsteins (ordered), to be placed on lower perch, with stock springs, found them a little cheaper on Black Friday
Pirelli Zero Nero GT tires (ordered)
Willman's Electronics NSX radio conversion (bought busted NSX radio for super-cheap, sent it to him for conversion)
Maybe a Pride V2 or Taitec GTLW exhaust, haven't decided yet.

That's it and I'll be ready for the spring driving season.

Where do u live I can recomend places I do everything myself on mine just did head work and timing belt job on mine in the summer. I do suspension work Including corner balancing. I know who is good near me but I don't know where u are.

Bringing this thread back. Still seeking an assist specifically for installing the Bilsteins now that the worst of winter is done (and honestly, really never came!). I'm south and east, in Bedford, but am willing to drive in the Cleveland area for someone who can do the job competently. Out of curiousity, I called Motorcars Acura and they charge $1320 to change out the shocks. I'm sure they'd do a nice job but honestly, $330 a corner is insane. I can afford, but wow.

My mod list changed a little.
I purchased and installed a Pride Lightweight exhaust in December.
I purchased the Willman's radio conversion and I installed it a couple of weekends ago.
I sold the SSR GT1s and purchased a nice set of gunmetal Advan AVS Series 5 and will have the previously purchased tires installed hopefully this weekend.

Wings West front lip purchased for cheap. I plan to paint it and install it myself when it's warmer out.

Thanks in advance!

In April or May, we need to get together for a cruise or just a meet, since there are a few of us around.

Are they ready to be installed or do they need to be built up? I'm competent mech if u want to message me we can talk about it.

The Bilsteins are brand new in the box and ready to go on. I can wrench on my car a little but I would classify my skills as "beginner". I installed a Pride LW exhaust on my car and discovered that 16-year old bolts are a *itch to get off, making what should have been a 20-minute job a three-hour knuckle busting affair (including time spent waiting for the WD-40 to soak in, LOL!). That diminished the excitement in dealing with removing the suspension.

Will let you know when I'm ready.

As for the mini-NSXpo in NC, I'm on call that weekend, so a long trip is out of the question. Otherwise I'd go. I'll have to see if I can move stuff around to go, though...

hey guys, I've just listed my 96 NSX for sale over in the forums in case you know of anyone locally looking for an NSX. I hate to see it go, but "life happens". thanks! - Steve

Sorry to see you go. Looked at your ad, your car looks in phenomenal shape! You need to bring it out to a C&C to see if you get any interest in it. GLWS.
