Hey guys,

lets do a meet before the end of the season

i can only meet on Sunday's as that is my only day off.

lets pick a weekend.

i can post something on sk2i if we get a date figured out.

lets do it! My nsx has only seen the road twice in the last 3 years

I am down. Although I have tried to do this 2 years in a row with minimal support.

This was the most that could come out late early June for a trip to Banff. All Calgary guys, 4 cars total including mine. Good group of guys.

August 30 should be good for me. Looking forward to meet the new NSXrs.

According to a magazine article Edmonton to Collingwood Cove and Elk Island park is on of 7 top 90 minute road trips in Canada. Just a thought, the article says it is 105kms. Just flying it up the flag pole.

We have a somewhat central location:
Second cup on 170th Street and 97 avenue. Safeway parking lot.

coffee, marble slab, other amenities right in the parking lot.

we have people from the far southside, west end and St. Albert, so we are trying to keep the loacation somewhat centralized.

August 30th, afternoon around 1:30 - 2:00pm. <- Same the date, and mark your calendars.
Long range forecast looks good.

If people want to plan a drive from there, great. This is just a meeting place.

I will offer my cell number for those who need to get a hold of the group:
780 982 0875

Let us know if you can make it! and pass on the details to others please.

Might be more S2000 owners than NSX haha. The Calgary guys are currently trying to arrange something as well. Not sure why we do not all meet half way at Sylvan Lake or something along those lines. I heard one time there was a grand meet.. maybe this was a fairy tale of years long past

Travis, I will leave my S2000 at home to help the ratio :)
So far I think we should have about 10 NSXs (not bad)
I like your thinking about Calgary and Edmonton meeting halfway. (next meet maybe) Who would be a candidate to contact in Calgary to coordinate with?

I am trying to get ACURA dealers involved with the local NSX owners. NSXCA is looking for more dealers to be involved, as the next generation car gets closer. We could always use a parts discount or a sponsorship of some kind as well.

There is a fairly new ACURA dealership in Red Deer. They have a big lot to the west (Agri-trade) that locals have done auto-cross on. Google map it and you can actually see the auto-cross course markings on the pavement. Something to work on.

Yes we did have a Sylvan Lake meet years ago with the Calgary group. (no urban myth)

Actually, Da' Boys from Calgary are meeting up for the Car Show in Gull Lake on Sept 6. ETA should be around 9:30 for the car show. Everyone from Edmonton is welcome to go too. I'll post the details later this week after I talk to the organizer of the Car Show.

Thanks everyone for showing up today.
Not bad for 1 week notice and getting people out.
I counted 8 NSX, 7 hung around for pictures. but everyone got to exchange info and enjoy a great day with NSXs.

Travis, can you share some pictures here?

thanks again.

I drove back to Cold Lake after the meet and I am working on photos now. It was nice to meet some of the owners but not all as there was not an official meet and greet unfortunately unless I was too busy taking photos. A group drive would have been nice but maybe next time.
