Getting new speaker wire through door jamb

I'm re wiring my sound system & putting in thicker gauge cabling.

How are you guys getting the new wires through the door jamb?
-Removing the door?
-Drill a hole in the door for the new wires?????

I've seen some people suggest these but would prefer a proper traditonal install

My dad helped me fish some 14ga wire by pulling out the older wiring.

When I pulled through my door boots I was ready to end my life. It was a lot of fun. I fished it using a very long ziptie and left all factory wiring in there, too. I had to use a long plastic thingy through the door/fender gap to push the grommet back into place and all that. I do this stuff for a living and this ranks up there as one of the most difficult things I've done.

I you're comfortable doing so, I recommend either pulling the doors or the fenders. It's more 'work', but the fiddlyness factor goes down significantly.
