EGR Removal with Standalone?

Hey all,

I wanted to see if any of you running a standalone had removed your egr system? I'm running aem v1 and i don't know if it operates at all with the aem or if the aem operates it the same way as the factory ecu?

Interesting question.

I have a EGR blank kit to go on also, wonder what everone's opinion in this is.

My understanding was the EGR valve is controlled by the ecu, is the factory ecu is removed then it's not working so might as well blank it. I might be wrong though.

Remove it if not running factory ecu.
