battery charger connection

When connecting a charger should it be connected to the poles in the engine bay that are used for jump starting or just connect directly to the battery? I am asking because I carry my spare so access to the battery is a little more complicated. This is for a 1993 nsx that sits in the garage most of the time.

I think you answered your own question. Engine bay fuse box is best.
