DFW Midweek Meet 09-14-16

Time for another midweek meet! We have the high tops reserved at the new(ish) Rock and Brews restaurant by Gene Simmons on Wednesday the 14th at 7:30PM. The manager will be blocking off some parking spots for us as well. The bar has a great selection of beers so come out and enjoy!

Yes, the drama with the large biker group ruined our original plans but we still had a great, relaxed get-together. However, I doubt any of us will ever want to go to Rock & Brews again

Sorry to hear - was it a double-booking issue? Glad the weather held out for you guys, though..

When Ian booked the event, the manager did not tell him that it was also bike night. This was a bad oversight and a near disaster! The bikers, which far outnumbered us, did not want to share the parking lot with us at all. One of the biker chicks ran in front of Terry's car and faked being hit, which caused the bikers to react, near violently, and yell at us to GTFO! Well, we're not stupid so we did just that and retreated to the Mi Cocina across the parking lot. While we were trying to figure out what to do next, they sent one of their boys over to apologize and invite us back (I guess the manager forced them to do that) but we politely declined, in order to to avoid any further problems. We would not have felt safe and no one wants their car vandalized
