Factory Tour site is up

Thanks for finding this.

I didn't receive an invitation yet.

I had heard that there would be some preselection for early participants.

It looks like folks who already received their car would be the preselected folks.

I sent in a request. the key info in the order # that the dealer provided when the car was ordered and the dealer # which is on the window sticker.

The wrench an engine option has been removed from the program.

At this point I would do the engine tour and PMC tour combo.

I will report back after hearing from the concierge about what dates they have.

Again, the NSX Specialists will be in Ohio Nov 28-30 to take the tours, and do the track experience.

Playbook #5

EE for life at Acruazine.com has been the first to push these out to the community in the past, but he has not posted a link to that one yet.

Agreed regarding pricing.

Lexus charged over $3k for their LFA driver development 1 day programs at Sonoma.

Lexus arranged a few tours of the LFA factory and those were free. But the car was closer to $400k.

Back to Acura, it looks like these are private tours. I believe the concierge/tour guides are third party.

I wonder if the track events are groups. Kind of crazy to do a 2 or 4 hour track event for 1 person.

voila.

Thanks for sharing

i gotta get me some tire totes

Do you know if the front bumper protective film is like a skid plate?

Just got an email regarding tours. It says "You are Cordially Invited..." and includes a customer-specific code to enter in the website. At this point I'm thinking "Makes sense. Pricing is ridiculously high, but owners must go for free / big discount." So I clicked through, filled out info and was taken to a pricing page that looked the same as the public pricing. Sigh. Kind of a joke. Other brands (BMW, Corvette, even Focus ST) offer free tours / track time for owners.

Oh well.

That's not a track just anyone doing a HPDE can drive on. To be honest, I'm really surprised they're going to let people in TRC.

The first time that someone sneaks a picture at something they shouldn't and posts it on social media, those track events are done.

They are saying up front, no pictures so you probably have to surrender your phone.

My dealer also pointed out that pics in the facilities are a no no so Honda must be compulsive about it.

when we went, all devices had to be left at the hotel or they collect them before you get off the bus.

there wasnt anything to "see." they share the outer loops with other manufacturers, so its not just honda. i saw 1 camo'd vehicle driving slowly around the outer loop. it looked like a scion xB.

NSXINSIDEREXPERIENCE.COM

Just like AMG or ///M euro delivery, but in Ohio!

Almost.

I did Euro delivery of a BMW M5 (F10) on the same day the car was released to US buyers. Not only did I save ~9% off of US MSRP (when car was selling for premium in US), but all the tours / delivery experiences were free (included in the already-discounted price). Savings paid for cheap flights / hotels / meals and some laps at the 'Ring for my brother and me. Great experience that I am eager to repeat.

So not exactly the same...

Wasn't a Scion. You saw the all new Odyssey which still will not be publicly viewable until the North American auto show in Detroit.

Earlier in that week there was an Indycar team testing on the high speed oval.

It's all luck of the draw. You might be on TRC and see nothing. But you might be there and see something amazing.

I was the only one allowed in with a camera in 2007 when I was shooting during NSXPO. I accidentally got a pic of a Ridgeline prototype when I was in the tower setting up the group pic but that shot will forever remain in my archives..............

I'd like to do the factory tour, and do the Honda museum while I'm there.

I doubt it was an Ody. It was much smaller and more square than an Ody. We did see/hear the Indy team fly by a couple of times.
