There a lot of discussion regarding the ugly front holder. We contacted Honda in Germany and France some times ago but no feedback.

That is rather large and obtrusive

On the other hand you will have the preferred H badging we do not have

Hope that the holders are fixed by the local dealer, in my case Paris/France. I raise the question if the holder is delivered with the car and only fixed locally before handover. If yes, I call them to wait to be onsite before the fix.
Production of my car scheduled end Feb, reception end March in Paris.

I have one message in the thread called "where are all the production deliveries" may you can help on this as it looks that you have contacts.
As there is a lot of discussion regarding production numbers it would be interesting to know the production figures for ACURA & Honda NSX's . Car.com shows 213 cars but that only US Acura cars. If the produce 6-8 cars per day what is the ratio Acura/Honda.

Hi Rene

welcome to the forums, I haven't realized that you recently joined

i tried digging into exUS Honda press releases about the Honda Acura break out

the factory had been building 2/3 of production for the US

as there are some other Acura markets, such as Canada I would guess about 20% of the cars have a Honda badge

i will include your question in my next call to the NSX Specialists

Sorry, my mistake forgot to introduce myself. I am from Luxembourg/Europe. Have been with Porsche for more than 20 years. I learned about the new NSX beginning last year at the Geneva Autosalon. Went to Paris Autoshow to see the new Mercedes GTR and the NSX. Arriving on the Honda floor stand it made klick when I saw the car first time in real. Had some discussion with people from Honda France and went 2 weeks later to "driving days" in Reims/France. Got the chance to drive the NSX on open roads, on the test circuit and also with an professional driver. After this expierence I decided to go for the NSX.

Our store does not install the front plate holder. We leave it in the trunk/boot for the owner to install if he wishes.

Wow, sounds like a terrific introduction to the car

The variations in how this car is being introduced is mind boggling

I never even sat in one until mine arrived

Welcome Rene,
My dealer asked me about the holder before handover of my NSX, but I decided to use the holder.

I am in discussion with the vehicle registration office to get green light for a smaller licence plate. They allowed it for Ferrari and some other sports car. The point, I have to present the car and they will decide. As there is no NSX in Luxembourg I have to wait

This makes me want to put a motorcycle plate on the front of my car. It would take some doing (registering a motorcycle with custom plates first, re-registering it with a different plate, then registering the car with the same letters) but it would be fun. Probably not legal but you can always hope police will be more amused than annoyed by it.

Seriously though, I like the idea of authorities issuing smaller front plates for cars--but I'd rather see it available for any car, not just for high-end ones.

No, what we need is to get official statement from Acura/Honda that due to technical reason a small licence plate can/must be mounted. Having this official statement will make everybody happy. I saw a picture of an UK NSX. He fixed the big plate without the holder. That looks horrible. May somebody can contact them and push for this kind of statement.

There is no additional effort needed by Honda. Only goodwill and customer friendly !!

May the NSX Specialist can advise what needs to done. As I mentioned Ferrari issued this kind of documents to Customers and Dealers

Could you please send me the exact size of the holder and a few closer pictures. Could be the holder for small plate in Luxembourg. May need to half them on the vertical size.
Thanks in advance

Update on small licence plate: Have been in touch with people driving cars with the small plates in Luxembourg (as shown on the Ferrari pictures). The feedback was clear, the plates are not allowed and you drive at your own risk. Police can block your car!!

That's it for me.

May Honda will modify the big holder and make more presentable or we change the angle of the fixation to get more downforce on the front.
