My "Third" NSX

The NSX has always been a favorite car... perhaps THE favorite of mine. Looking back at my join date on Prime, I realized I got an account here before I got my first NSX. For those of you who wanted the username NA1, that user is actually my friend (who is a lurker) I hope one day he will will retire and give me the username lol.

1st NSX in Vancouver, Canada. I had huge plans for it. However I never got to finish the project as I would have liked, due to priorities in life. It's based on my favorite car/color as a kid was metallic Lamborghini SE30 Diablo Jota. Back in the day before internet, I was spending a lot of money on imported JDM magazines, I saw the Marga Hills kit back in a Option Magazine, on a SSR GT1 wheel ad, and wanted the kit so much. Then came internet boom and I was spending my spare time stalking the Top End Japan gatherings and blogs. The Black NSX of Yana-chan was an inspiration. I totally wanted to complete the look with Marga Hills Headlight w/Lexan Lens, but after some communication with Kazz of Marga Hills, he told me he lost the mold long time ago.





I moved back to Hong Kong. Bought a MK4 Supra. But one thing kept taunting me, like the one that got away. I realized I needed to get another NSX. So enter the 2nd NSX. Sourced from Japan auction from a good friend after months of looking. 4.5 Won on the bid... and was so excited. When it finally arrived, this happened. It arrived in Hong Kong, but someone ran into it with a forklift before I took ownership. I really wanted to keep it, but sadly, further inspection showed that there was frame damage. Luckily, it was a friend that facilitated the purchase, so I was able to get a full refund.

So continued my search, and enter my '3rd' NSX. Here she is with my Supra.

Body parts arrival from Japan for a makeover. Go wide or go home. Still have to wait for the Voltex GT wing which will take 6months, lol.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. That purple reminds me of the 90's SE30 Diablos.

Can you tell me where you got that front emblem on the purple car? What does it say? Love it

Thanks, it actually is that color from the SE30

The emblem is a discontinued item from Do-Luck Japan.

Trying to decide on a color ... OK I've decided on metallic red.



... Now... okay, WHICH metallic red to choose from? possibilities are endless ;x

So my front brembo kit arrived and my mechanic took a photo and called me... "Where are the fronts? Only the rear arrived." The 4pot fronts seemed so tiny to what he was used to seeing... XD.

Compustar 2Way alarm finally installed. Aftermarket Car Security is not popular here in Hong Kong. Many people refused to install something they've never touched before.



More body parts arrived. Surprised they could fit everything in one box to save on shipping.

Taitec CF Diffusor and RFY R-GT bumper


ScienceofSpeed CF Duct and Hatch - disappointed actually in this part. The rear 'glass' came precut. Wasn't very well cut, the position and the actual cutting job. Will have to see what to do with this later.



Zoom Engineering CF interior rear mirror - very high quality and seemed like a good deal to replace my oem mirror which plastic was cracked

Thanks guys. Here is how she is sitting now. Everything is starting to come apart and the engine will be out soon. I have yet to decide how far to go with the engine.

That's a lot of red! Makes me wonder if I can change the shade of my car when I decide to repaint.

Fitting. I spoke too soon about Japanese parts. The quality of the fiberglass is great, but fitment is horrible. Maybe it's because the molds are old. Or maybe cause I'm also trying to match 5 companies body parts to my car (Advance, Marga-Hills, RFY, Voltex, and Taitec)


They sprayed the OEM fender to test a metallic candy red (tricoat) for me to sample. Don't really like it, think it could be darker and more red. Back to the drawing board. The color looks very different in different light and angles



More parts arriving. Even Voltex arrived after 7months. Now just gotta wait for Downforce and Craftsquare. And also lots of goodies from SOS. Oh wait. And there's also the chassis braces from Lovefab and STMPO. But most likely the last two vendors are trying to run off with my money.

damn. that mod list is some baller stuff. lol

No doubt! You're dropping some serious coin my man. I hope you get your TI bars.
