SoCal will be well represented at NSXPO in Wisconsin in September. Driving to NSXPO so far includes:

MCano - Mario
SeaSharp - Graig
Mr. Hugo - Hugo
GoKart - Alan

Tom Ford is flying in.

Roman from the Bay Area is also driving.

If anyone else is interested, let me know!

Have you decided on the route yet? I was planning to go through Whyoming and Montana.

None of us have gotten together to plan the trip. So, everything from start date and route are up in the air. One of those going has made the following route recommendations.

I don't think I would be going through CO. And jealous you can go through UT. I'm definitely interested in staying north. I can also go to SoCal to join you guys from there.

I sent those two routes to Mario and I intend to go with the second option which will include stops along the way at National Parks (indicated on map)..... driving Iron Mountain Road http://www.ironmountainroad.com/ , through the Badlands and anything that looks interesting along the way. AFTER NSXPO I intend to continue a circuitous route to New England (family and fall foliage), down to the Keys then back home to CA.

Ready to go

Well I've got my hotel reservations and my NSXP registration complete so I'm ready to go. I don't have any idea which route I'm planning to use but I am pretty sure I'm not going through Whyoming. After all, WHY would you go through WHYoming? :) I may go through Wyoming though, but I'm not sure.

Sorry about that but I just love typos.

It seems a bit pricey. The hotel will end up just under a grand for five nights. The registration for myself and my wife (without the HPDE) is $675. After travel costs and more importantly, the bar bill, I may have to get a part time job. Oh well, you only go around once in life.

Craig (Not Graig)

Another typo. I love it.

1. Blame Ole - he's old but it's his fault
2. Nobody likes yellow NSXs anyway.........
I'm not blaming anyone. I know Ole had a tough job. I just want to know. Seriously.
Also, I spent a lot of time and money getting my car ready for the concours d'elegance and for all intents and purposes, it did not happen in 2016. There was no real judging. Again, I'm not blaming anyone but I want to know if I should go to the trouble to make my car concours d'elegance ready?

Is there going to be a most miles driven award? There was not in 2016. Mario and I came from SoCal to Florida and didn't even get mentioned.

I want to know if the "most miles driven" includes getting there AND the return home--- since after NSXPO I plan on driving across the USA to New England, down the Atlantic Coast to the Keys, and then back home to California ..........:biggrin:

And if you do the whole trip in reverse gear, you won't run up the mileage on your car.

Senna's Law:

mileage = smileage :biggrin:

more is better
