Bought my 91' NA1 NSX a few weeks ago. Front lower lip spoiler was missing. After the car was shipped to me I found a brand new one in the trunk and was excited b/c I didnt have to buy a new one. Once I tried to mount it its about 4 inches too short. I have searched and even asked Delray Acura about this 71110-SLO-0000 and they have no idea what its for. stamped Honda on the inside as well. Maybe it for an Accord???? either way I need this figured out so I can sell it and buy the right one. thanks to anyone with ideas on this. -G:confused:

That should be an early front lip that's OEM for the MY91-96 NSX. The middle part of the part number, "SL0", is a dead giveaway that it's for an NSX. Not sure why it doesn't fit. Does it look modified in any way?

Yes, the SLO is NSX but it doesnt reach all the way to one side. If I mount on one side its really short. Looks brand new and never ever used. what is the 0000?

Actually, the part numbers for the front lips on the 91-01 NSX should be either 71110-SL0-000 (91-96) or 71110-SL0-003 (97-01) so yours looks to have one digit too many. Also, the middle of the number is the number zero "0" not the letter "O". I can check my early OEM lip in a few to confirm if it's marked the same as yours.

post a pic of the whole lip laying under front clip

FYI, even the later model front lip does not completely extend all the way to the back of the fender. It's shy about 1/2 inch on both sides. It was probably taken off to load it on a flat bed without damage.

From the photo you posted, looks like you got the face lifted version of front lip (parts no. -010) that won't fit on the retra/pop-up model.

Not easy to see in your photo but if you have access to the face lifted model, at the bend/corner highlighted by the two yellow arrows,
there is a line/silhouette that is only noticeable on the face lifted version.

The blue arrow shows that the spoiler has hollow design all the way.

The yellow arrow shows sharp straight edge finish.
Again, the blue arrow shows the hollow design.

The retra/pop-up version.

-000 on the car. Superseded to -003 and no longer manufactured.
-003 at the bottom.

There is no line/silhouette at the bend and it's smoothed out.

No noticeable hollow section at the spoiler and more like straight smooth design (blue arrow).
At the edge, it has curved finish (yellow arrow).

Obviously, I'm assuming that your bumper lower skirt is the OEM and retra/pop-up version.

Kaz

Thank you Kaz! yes I have OEM front end with pop up lights. So this face lifted version is no good to me. I bought a new OEM lip 003 this morning. I will be posting this lip here on prime. I wonder now what is a fare price. I'm in Hawaii so shipping might be pricey.

Looks very similar to my NSX lip.
Maybe its a 2002-2005 lip?
