Idle is 800 +/- 50 rpm
Under "no-load" conditions, which is headlights, blower, rear defroster, rad fan, and A/C are all OFF for at least 60 seconds.
You should check using a tachometer attached to the leads in the engine bay (by the engine cooling fan).
