Loose end, single cable not connected.

I have been searching high and low but cannot figure out what this cable is for.
It's located top right on the front cylinder row, sticks out of a plastic cover that covers this cable and the front O2 sensor cable.

I would guess it's for some kind of sensor as it is single wire, the wire is read.


The car has no AC pump so it could be something for the air conditioning.
There is no problem with anything that i have noticed.

I think it's the connector shown in the diagram here, and down below is my picture.

A/C Compressor Lead. The mating connector is on the bracket for the oil dipstick.....or not if you have no compressor;)....
