16" front tire choice

Its time for new tires, ill be doing Nitto NT555 275/40-17 on the rear, the current tires from the previous owner up front are 225/45-16 which seems like an odd size. Curious what sizes and types people have had luck with in 16"

i was running 215/45 bridgestone re010 up front on the stock 16s before changing to 17s fronts recently.
