Question Infineon/Sears Point Raceway in Video Games

I would like to get familiar with the track for this year's NSXPO. Does anyone know of a video game/driving simulator that has this track?

I've seen the threads about the in-car videos... and I've seen them... but I learn better by doing and not watching.

I hope this doesn't sound too silly...

I have a Windows-based PC and a PlayStation2. I have access to an XBox and if necessary, I'll rent whatever system necessary to play the game.

    Thanks in advance!

Doesn't sound silly to me...this was one of the reasons why I wished we were going to Laguna Seca!

Unfortunately, I am not familiar with any games that feature Infineon Raceway/Sears Point. And I haven't heard whether or not it will be included in GT4 either.

    Hmm,

The only games that could possibly include Sears Point
would be the various NASCAR games, but they don't
run the carousel, instead they run the NASCAR turn.

If you are really serious about learning the track prior to
NSXPO you can always fly up and attend a Jim Russell
driving school event. They have schools as simple as
introduction to road racing using the Formula cars as well
as events that allow you to take your car on the track.

This probably does not apply to you, but for the track newbies:

Sears Point is *the* most technical track in CA as
such you are probably better off learning from an instructor
rather than playing a game and developing "bad" or "undesirable" habits.

    Just my 2 cents,

    Ken

Pro Race Driver from Codemasters... (TOCA in UK, DTM in Germany) available on PC,XBOX, and PS2. I prefer the PC version... however, it uses the NASCAR layout of Infineon which skips the best part of the track... I can also do an entire lap of Infineon in this game and only touch the brakes in several spots, whereas in a real car, I have to brake a lot more. Though, I may have been using a slow car which didn't need to brake much.
