Interested in having your NSX in a commercial? I received the notice below regarding auditions for an upcoming commercial for a new Turtle Wax product. The auditions will be held September 28-30 in the greater Chicago area, with the commercial to be shot on October 8 or 9. See details below.

Are you the owner of a great looking car who would be interested in being in a television commercial?

One World Productions is looking for guys with dark colored HOT cars; Vettes, Subaru STIs, Honda S2000s, Thunderbirds, BMWs, Acura NSXs, Audi TTs, and other collectible cars and tuners. This is a commercial shooting in October for an AMAZING new Turtle Wax polish. We are looking for owners who would be interested in testing the product and auditioning yourself and your car for the commercial to be filmed at the Volo Auto Museum. The possibility exists that you and your car may appear in a national print campaign as well.

This is by far the best Turtle Wax product ever made! It is NOT the polish sold at Wal Mart for $2.99. This brand new polish has been tested using Meguiar’s and Mothers users and the consensus of users has been “This is the best shining polish I’ve ever used!”

We are casting Sunday, Sept.28 at the Volo Auto Museum in Volo, IL from 10:30-3:00. Meet at the fountain in the park next to the collector car parking lot. Bring your car (weather permitting) or a good picture of it. We will be doing add’l casting on Mon. Sept. 29 and Tues., Sept. 30 at other locations as well. Include a photo of yourself, photo of your car, contact information and description of your car. Time is short so please contact Laura ASAP!!!!

If selected for the commercial you will be paid and get a copy of the finished spot or ad as an additional token of our thanks.

Ken, the problem with that (aside from the short notice) is the date -- NSXPO is happening then.

Of course it is. Which is why I won't be able to make it. But I figured perhaps those who are not going to NSXPO 2003 might be interested.

Hmm. I would love my car to be the commercial! By mine is silver. oh, and the ad calls for males. - maybe they would consider my car without me? It's worth a try. Frankly, I think it would be cool to have a bunch of guys waxing their cars with crappy wax and a girl pulls up in my car and they look stunned because it outshines all of their cars (because I used this new Turtle wax)... just a thought. Creativity is not really my strong suit - but I do watch a lot of tv!!

I received a message from Laura today that she is still looking for cars for the commercial - and the chances of being picked are pretty good, as she notes below:

"Didn't get a very good turnout today. Would love any help to get people to come meet us in Schaumburg at Car Boutique 1228 N. Roselle Rd. from 1-6 tomorrow. We didn't get ANY NSXs.....we would love that car in the commercial. I appreciate any help you can give us to get the word out that we are REALLY looking for dark color cars for this commercial.. Due to the poor turnout the chances of being picked are pretty good."
