Question on sun visors and common problem.....

I have a 1992 with ivory interior and my sun visors are starting to split. I want to order new ivory sun visors but I was wondering if Acura ever corrected the problem to prevent the new ones from splitting in the future? Does anyone know is the problem was corrected or will my new one split to?
