Can someone explain how online playing work? do i need to purchase any additional hardware for my PS2? monthly fee?

You will need:
1) A PS2 modem (Get the actual Sony one; don't mess with other brands)
2) An on-line capable game
3) Internet access. Some games require broadband connections.

No additional monthly fees are required.

Who knows, but nothing wrong with being a lil optimistic. Walmart has a different date for their release at a couple bux cheaper.

Yup, that's it. You can also find it at your typical TRU, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. stores. Other online places are good too. Pretty much any place that you get PS2 hardware and software will carry it.

I'm with akira3d on this one. SCEA hasn't said anything official as to launch date. Rumored dates have been constantly pushed back.
