2005 Ford GT (and NSX) mentioned in today's L.A. Times

NSX mentioned in an article about the new GT:

"Though Ford used the Ferrari Modena as its developmental benchmark, the car the GT most reminds me of is the Acura NSX. Like the NSX, the GT is docile, even servile, in around-town traffic. You can stick it in first gear and just let it mosey along with the engine at idle — try that in a Dodge Viper and the driveline snatch will put you in a cervical collar."

at the dealership where I work. According to the new car manager about a month ago, we have only had one person SERIOUSLY interested in one. They haven't finalized the price on it yet and will wait till they get it before doing so. Guess they are going to see what the market will bear.
I have a poster of one at my desk and can't tell you how many people have asked what it is or if it is the new Mustang that is coming out. I politely say 'no' and point to the initials 'GT' for the name of it. THen of course they ask the price....if you have to ask.

In the aftermarket area of my dealership they have a video of the car racing around a circuit being followed by a helicopter.
Pretty amazing stuff what the car can do in the right hands of an experienced driver.
The copter pilot says in some areas of the track he has trouble keeping up with the car !!!
