    Post erradic oil presure

for some reason my oil presure gauge keeps showing me different oil presures. at idle sometimes its at about 1, sometimes at zero. when it goes to 0 it wont climb as high as it does at 1 when im on the roll. anyone else experience this. thanks

Hey, don't worry. I have the same readings on my '92 with 100K. I have had my local Acura Dealer check it out and they have informed me that my engine PSI meter is just fine!

It depends on many factors from what I understand. Oil Viscosity, Ambient temperature, load and RPM's all factor into the oil pressure...

I wouldnt be too worried about it unless the Oil light comes on.

It's usually the sender unit, and not the oil pump itself. The only problem with letting the sender stay dead, is that you don't have accurate information on oil pressure, and won't know until it's too late...
