You can bridge the service connector (under the passenger footwell) and check the code stored in the ECU. A code will be shown in a series of flashes in the instrument cluster and the service manual will explain what each code means.
My NSX (CTSC) has been on jack stands for about five weeks. Today, I took it out for about 10 minutes, never going over 4000/55. Near the end the engine light went on. Nothing changed that I could notice. A few minutes after returning, I let it idle for awhile then took it to 5000 rpm. No light. Is there something simple which would cause the light to go on after a long idle period? All fluids are okay.
