The other car and the location is wrong but it was me. Please pass the crying towel.
I just got a call from a friend who said he saw a black NSX, relatively stock, rear-end a Lexus while pulling out of Acura of Brookfield today.
Was that anybody on prime? (It sounds a bit like BrianK; I hope not!)

Long story short is traffic backed up at the light by Barns and Noble and by the time I noticed I was too close to the car in front of me to stop.

hey Brian,
Sorry to hear about your accident.. $h1t happens in life and as long as you're not hurt, you're a lucky man..
That is what insurance is for and your NSX can be fixed or replaced..
Hope that she's back to her former glory soon..

Aw man, that stinks. Glad that you are OK, and hope the damage is easily repairable.
I haven't been in an accident since the mid 80's till last month. Following too closely in the rain, racing to get to my parents, merging into traffic.
There is a car in front of me merging and he is going to make it, I look over my shoulder to see if I can make it too! I've got it!!! I hit the gas and look forward and the guy in front of me got nervous and slammed on the brakes. Well it was only a 5 MPH accident but the angle of my car and the height of the bumper forced me under his bumper and the damage was on the hood/lights. What should have been $500 turned into $4000 for me.
Definitely my fault and need to be more careful but also I feel for you and know your grief.
Well that was a month ago and just picked the car up today - better then new! Here are my pics

Sorry to hear the news BK It happens to the best of us every now and then.
The last time I was @ AOB, I got pulled over in record time by Brookfield's finest. His lights were on before I even shifted to second!I pulled over @ the BP a block away. He claimed I blew through both stop signs (AOB's lot) at 30 mph and accelerated briskly in front of on-coming traffic. Well he was right about the "briskly" part.
I also did NOT have my belt on (going 1 block to BP) He said "I know you have a fast car and all" I said "it has nothing to do with my car, I saw a ton of cars coming, so I pulled out and got to the speed limit as fast as I could safely" He said "would you have tried that with my cruiser?" (a SUV police truck) I leaned out of my window and looked back and said with a grin "yep!" <------He didn't like that answer. But all in all he was a cool cop, and after seeing my record was clean, and I explained that I was just going to go to BP, he let me go.
